Christian Eriksen joined Manchester United in the summer of 2022, marking a significant return to the Premier League after his remarkable recovery from a cardiac arrest incident during Euro 2020. Born on February 14, 1992, in Middelfart, Denmark, Eriksen had previously enjoyed a successful career at clubs like Ajax, Tottenham Hotspur, and Inter Milan.

After signing a short-term contract with United, Eriksen quickly established himself as a key player in manager Erik ten Hag’s system. Known for his vision, creativity, and ability to dictate the tempo of the game, he brought much-needed quality to United’s midfield. His debut came in August 2022 during a Premier League match against Brighton, and he soon became a fan favorite, known for his exceptional passing and set-piece skills.

Throughout the 2022-2023 season, Eriksen contributed significantly to United's campaign, helping the team secure the EFL Cup and finishing in the top four of the Premier League. His experience and leadership on the pitch were vital in guiding younger players and enhancing the overall performance of the squad.

Whilst playing for Denmark on 12/06/2020 while receiving a throw-in Eriksen collapsed to the floor suffering cardiac arrest, the Danish midfielder on 29/10/2021 it was announced that he was not permitted to play in Serie A due to the presence of an implantable cardioverter - defibrillator.
