Willy Kambwala (born 25 August 2004 in Kinshasa, DR Congo) is a professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Manchester United. A highly regarded talent with French nationality, Kambwala is known for his composure on the ball, aerial dominance, and mature performances beyond his years.
He began his footballing journey in France, developing at US Alfortville before joining Sochaux, where his potential quickly caught the eye of European scouts. In October 2020, Manchester United secured his signature as part of their long-term youth investment strategy, bringing him into the academy setup.
Despite suffering a significant injury shortly after arriving in England, Kambwala showed resilience and returned to impress in the U18 and U21 sides, eventually captaining the youth team.
