Biography Heaven began his football journey at West Ham United’s academy at the age of eight, spending four formative years before exploring trials at Chelsea and Fulham. In 2019, he joined Arsenal’s elite youth setup, progressing through the U‑18s and U‑21s, and trained regularly with the first team. His performances during the 2024 pre-season earned plaudits from Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
Senior Debut at Arsenal
On 30 October 2024, Heaven made his senior debut for Arsenal as a substitute in a 3–0 League Cup win over Preston North End. He was also named among the substitutes for key fixtures like the North London derby, signaling his rapid rise in the club’s hierarchy
His breakthrough move to Manchester United materialised on 1 February 2025, where Heaven signed a four-and-a-half-year contract (until June 2029 with an option for an extra year) with undisclosed fee, United’s technical director Jason Wilcox emphasised that Heaven was considered “ready to join our first‑team squad”
Heaven made his 1st team debut 02/03/2025 v Fulham at Old Trafford during a 1-1 draw during a FA Cup 5th round tie which Fulham won 4-3 during a penalty shootout.
Heaven debuted for England U‑18 in May 2024 against Northern Ireland and shortly after progressed to the England U‑19 team, earning multiple caps at both age levels
Playing Style & Strengths
A left-sided centre‑back, Heaven excels in channel defending and on-ball play, seamlessly integrating into Ruben Amorim’s three-at-the-back system at United. His composure, distribution skills—including long cross-field balls—and physical stature have drawn comparisons to Patrick Vieira and Steven Gerrard.
In an exclusive feature, Heaven cited two key reasons driving his move: “The opportunities that the young players have got here in the past… I think United had the most minutes given to teenagers last season (2023/24). nd the people and the fans here are quite loving, and I felt that when I was playing. They’re so supportive.”
