Garth Crooks is a former English footballer, best known for his time as a striker in the 1970s and 1980s. He joined Manchester United on loan from Tottenham Hotspur during the 1983-1984 season, but his stint at the club was brief. Crooks made only 7 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 2 goals. Despite the short tenure, he was already well-established in English football due to his prolific goal-scoring record at Stoke City and later success at Tottenham, where he won two FA Cups in 1981 and 1982.
After retiring from professional football, Crooks became a respected football pundit and commentator, particularly known for his work on the BBC’s Final Score and Match of the Day. |
