Arthur Allman was an English professional footballer renowned for his role as a full-back. Born in Milton, Staffordshire, he began his football career with local clubs before advancing to higher levels of the sport.

Allman started his football journey with Smallthorne in 1910, showcasing his defensive skills. He then moved to Shrewsbury Town in 1911, where he continued to develop his abilities. In 1912, he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers, although he did not make any first-team appearances during his time there.

In May 1914, Allman signed with Manchester United for a fee of £150. He made his debut on 13/02/1915 v Sheffield Wednesday (H) during a 2-0 win in a league division one match. During the 1914–1915 season, he made 12 league appearances for the club. His promising career was interrupted by the outbreak of World War I, during which he served as a guest player for Stoke City.

After the war, Allman transferred to Millwall Athletic in December 1919, where he made six league appearances in the 1920–1921 season. He later played for Aberaman Athletic and Crewe Alexandra, making 22 league appearances for the latter between 1922 and 1924. Allman concluded his playing career with a return to Aberaman Athletic in 1924.

Legacy: Arthur Allman's career spanned several clubs and was notably impacted by the First World War. Despite the interruptions, he is remembered for his contributions to English football during the early 20th century. Allman passed away on December 22, 1956, just shy of his 66th birthday.
